Derek Chambers summarized three articles published in the May 2013 issue of AWWA's OpFlow magazine.  One article dealt with the recoveray of the Rockaway Wastewater Treatment Plant after hurricane Sandy last October.  Another article was about the city of Philadelphia revised their total coliform sampling plan using GIS and a hydraulic model.  The third article was 10 pointers on how to select a control valve

Pipe: For Water and Wastewater Systems

Derek Chambers reviewed the different materials used for pipe in water and wastewater systems, and then went into detail describing the differences in types of PVC pipe, HDPE pipe, and how these pipes are joined together.

The Scoop on CUC's Sewer Pipe

CUC Engineer Brian Bearden and wastewater operator Richard Wasser showed off CUC's new sewer video camera, and showed video clips from the "adventures of CUC's Sewers", a new documentary airing on the KSPN.
