The Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands - Division of Environmental Quality, is the agency that regulates drinking water (public water systems) and waste water treatment and disposal in the CNMI. Below are links to CNMI DEQ, and the branches that manage water and wastewater programs:
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is the Federal agency that regulates drinking water (public water systems) and waste water treatment and disposal. CNMI regulations can not be less stringent than Federal requirements. In many cases the CNMI regulations are based on the Federal regulations. The EPA website contains reference and guidance material for many of the regulations.
