Mr. Pollock joined RCAC in 2017. He works with small water systems throughout the State of Hawaii, helping them prepare for or respond to findings of State Sanitary Surveys; develop Emergency Response, Asset Management and Capital Improvement project plans, and Cross Connection and Backflow Prevention programs; and apply for water system capital improvement funding from various sources including USDA/RUS and Hawaii SRF.
Before joining RCAC, Mr. Pollock worked for four years as an engineering consultant, primarily performing Sanitary Surveys of US Navy overseas drinking water systems. Previously, he had 24 years’ experience as an Environmental Engineer for the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), primarily in the Drinking Water Program where he oversaw public water system supervision programs in Hawaii, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands. While at the EPA, he spent two years in the Republic of Palau where he served as the engineer for the Environmental Quality Protection Board. Mr. Pollock also provided technical assistance (sanitary surveys and water safety plans) for water systems in the Marshall Islands and Federated States of Micronesia.
